7 Rules to Get Noticed and Grow at Work.

 


✅ If you want to grow in career, don't look back just move forward.

📌 Thumb rule of the growth is to be ruthless at work ,

✔ Not getting notice - work more.

✔ Not getting hike - work even more on yourself.

✔ Not getting promotion - work even more with determination.

⚠ Nothing comes free in the world, even to get a job you've show up online or offline. so , getting notice at work has to go through the process.




🔹 Follow below steps at work and see the results in 6 months or the year.

🔹 Rule 1: Never be late to office

✔ If you don't show up at work, who else would for you?
👉 Arrive on time and leave on time.

🔹 Rule 2: Check your emails and messages on Teams and respond at the earliest

✔ What happens when you do it first? It gives a signal to the manager that you're working on it and taking charge of things at work.

🔹 Rule 3: Take complex problem tickets/emails and respond

✔ What happens when you do this? It triggers the leadership and accountability attitude in yourself, which will lead to better decision-making at work.

✔ If you see an email asking for an update or about something you're not aware of, take it. This is where you develop a curious learning strategy.

📌 Example: You receive a request to check access or find logs. Even if you're not sure how to do it, don’t wait for your team or colleague to take over. First, acknowledge the request.

📩 Sample response: "I'm reviewing your request and will follow up with an update soon."

🔹 Rule 4: Be the first one to initiate communication

📊 Email is a common and essential part of getting work done. Proactively initiating communication shows engagement and leadership.

🔹 Rule 5: Work smartly, not emotionally

✔ If you see something broken, report it immediately, before it comes back to you and you go blank.

✔ Even if it is a small task, like forwarding to other teams, do it. This demonstrates proactiveness and shows you’re actively monitoring emails and work processes.

🔹 Rule 6: Ping constantly about issues on Teams/Slack to draw attention

✔ This gives you prompt acknowledgment from stakeholders.

✔ Report, mitigate, fix, and release the RCA.

🔹 Rule 7: Send a last-minute email of any issues or findings you want to bring to the team’s notice

✔ This gives the team a clear picture that you take complete charge of your shift.

✔ Even if it is small work or minor details, communicate them. Communication is the key to success.
