Overview

Today, I’ll be discussing a fintech company I work with, along with the main benefits and challenges experienced by employees.

I’ve been working as a NOC Engineer with Eze Software (📌 https://www.ezesoft.com/), which is a subsidiary of SS&C Technologies (📌 https://www.ssctech.com/).
Therefore, anyone working under SS&C entities receives the same employee benefits.

Employee Benefits

🏢 Company Culture

  • Hybrid work model: Only 6 days per month are required from the office; all other days are Work From Home (WFH).

  • This rule applies across all SS&C entities.

  • Overall culture feels supportive, flexible, and balanced.


🎁 Joining Benefits

  • New joiners receive a joining bonus, dependent on the compensation.

  • The bonus is locked until completion of a 3-month probation period.

  • Once the manager marks probation as successful, the joining bonus is paid in the 3rd or 4th month’s salary.

  • Employees receive a welcome kit including:

💸 Signing Bonus

  • Employees receive quarterly bonuses.

  • Bonus amount depends on:

💳 Sodexo / Pluxee Card Benefit

  • ₹1,500 will be added monthly to the employee’s Pluxee (Sodexo) account.

  • Can be used for food, meals, groceries, and other eligible items.

🔁 Internal Job Movement

  • After completing 2 years, employees can switch internally to other roles based on their skill set.

  • Approval depends on:

    • Your manager

    • The hiring manager of the target role


👥 One-on-One Meetings

  • Regular 1-on-1 meetings with the manager to discuss:

    • 💰 Bonus discussions

    • 📈 Performance

    • 📝 Feedback

    • 🎯 Areas of improvement

  • Employees can ask any work-related questions during this meeting.


🚖 Cab Facility

  • Available for employees working in graveyard/night shifts.

  • Eligibility depends on shift timings and patterns.

  • Cafeteria provides unlimited snacks including:

🏖️ Paid Leave Structure

  • 12 Paid Leaves (PL)

  • 12 Sick Leaves (SL)

  • Earned Leave (EL):

    • Added 1 to 1.2 per month

    • Can encash up to 8 during tax submission

    • Up to 60 days encashable at resignation

    • This means employees may receive up to 2 months of extra salary depending on accumulated ELs


👶 Maternity & Paternity Leave

  • Paternity leave: 2 weeks for men

  • Maternity leave: Policy details may vary (not confirmed)


🍽️ Team Lunch

  • Teams receive a quarterly budget for team lunch/dinner.

  • Amount usually ranges between ₹1,000–₹2,000 per person, depending on the quarter.


📉 Stocks

  • Previously, employees used to receive stock options, but this benefit has been discontinued.

  • It may still be available to specific teams or leadership roles.


🏥 Healthcare & Insurance

  • Standard healthcare insurance is provided.

  • Employees can add family members by paying an extra amount as per the HR policy.

  • Life insurance:

    • If an employee passes away during employment, the dependent receives a payout equal to a few years' salary.
